Terms of Service

The rules for using Alkimist and the responsibilities that remain with you as the owner of your code and infrastructure.

Last updated August 30, 2026

Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Alkimist, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter a contract and, if acting for an organization, have authority to bind it. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

Your account and infrastructure

You are responsible for account security, authorized users, repository selection, server access, backups, application data, legal compliance, and charges from your VPS, domain, repository, AI, and other providers. Keep recovery access outside Alkimist and test your backups.

Acceptable use

Do not use Alkimist to break laws, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack or probe systems without authorization, send abusive traffic, evade provider limits, mine cryptocurrency without written permission, or interfere with the service. We may suspend access needed to protect users, providers, or the service.

AI-assisted operations

AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review proposed commands and changes before approval. You remain responsible for deployments and their effects. Alkimist may require explicit confirmation for sensitive actions but that control does not replace your review.

Billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe based on the connected-server quantity, subject to the price displayed at checkout. Quantity changes may be prorated. You can cancel renewal from billing settings; access continues through the paid period unless suspension is required for misuse or payment failure. Taxes and provider charges may apply.

Ownership and license

You retain ownership of your code, configuration, and content. You grant Alkimist the limited permission necessary to store, process, transmit, and modify that material solely to provide requested features. Alkimist and its software, branding, and documentation remain owned by their respective rights holders.

Availability, warranty, and liability

Unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise, the service has no guaranteed service level and is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Alkimist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. To the extent permitted by law, total liability for claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid Alkimist in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Termination and changes

You may stop using the service and delete your account. Alkimist may suspend or terminate an account for material breach, security risk, nonpayment, or legal necessity. Material term changes will be posted with a revised date. Continued use after an effective change means acceptance where legally permitted.
